vWork Webapp (website)

New

  • Cancel Job

Adds a new state of Canceled.
Allows you to manually cancel a job from the Jobs Tab. (Non Completed)
Allows you to have non started jobs automatically canceled after a certain time period (vWork Support can set this)
Jobs that are canceled remain on the jobs tab but are removed from the Map and Schedule
Added "Canceled" as a status the can be reported on in Reports.

  • ETA Driver View

Allows you to include a link in the ETA alert which will show how far away a worker is (Approx)
This allows a user to click a link and display a map on the phone or PC
Phone uses also have an icon to contact the driver if enabled

  • Jobs can have ad hoc email and SMS alert recipients
     
  • Adds Auto Accept to auto accept/decline

  • Adds worker duration to Job Status CSV

Fixes/Updates

  • Fixes an issue where an ETA alert was triggered would trigger other ETA alerts.
  • Updated the Text on SMS ETA alerts
  • Quick-Customer in Job Editor enforces mobile number prefix
  • Added some better error reporting when quickbooks fails to sync
  • Adds a manual sync option to the xero integration so you can choose to sync invoices only when you click the button.
  • Fixes a bug where job assigned alerts would send twice if accept/decline was on and customer confirmation was not selected
  • ETA Alerts now work if the position is more accurate than 1KM and less than 10 minutes old.
  • Upgraded the HTML style on all alerts to use reasonable fonts and a slightly nicer layout.
  • All Cancel Buttons on the app are now called "Exit" if applicable.

vWork iOS app

New

  • Support for vWork's new Shift On/Off feature: vWork now gives mobile workers the ability to Shift On and Off. This gives more effective scheduling of jobs from knowing precisely when a worker is available.
    You can shift off for a selected or unknown time and we have added quick selectable times such as choosing to shift off for an hour for lunch with minimal effort.

Fixes/Updates

  • Addresses an issue where navigating with the TomTom app was not available as an option in map views
  • Performance and stability improvements

vWork Webapp (website)

New

  • We have add extra functionality to the Customer Portal.

- Give your customers the ability to see their jobs on a map (and if a worker is on the way, they can see the worker’s location).
- You can now setup your portal so that customers can view, download and print their invoices.
- You can enable portal alerts so that customers can choose to subscribe to email or SMS alerts for jobs being scheduled, jobs starting and jobs finishing.
- You can setup your portal to reflect your business hours when customers are requesting a start time.
- You can now setup your portal as a “private”portal so that only users you invite can login.
- And finally, you can now setup your users so that they can only see the templates relevant to them. 

  • We have added Shift On/Off 

- If allowed workers can now shift on and off for availability
- The dispatcher has ultimate visibility and can override this.
- Workers can set when they will be back on shift.

  • Added an intermediary popup to the 'download status report' button in the job editor that enables the user to filter out certain sections of interest.

Fixes/Updates

  • Fixes an issue where updating a pick list wouldn't update on the phone when trying to create a job from it.
  • Fixes an issue where uploading an image customer field would remove changes for a previous text custom field. (Android)
  • Fixes an issue where the Auto Duration and Auto distance line items would recreate once deleted.
  • Fixes an issue with push notifications being sent when an unpublished job is removed from a worker.
  • In proof of delivery alerts add the actual signature file link so that the recipient can see the signature.
  • Adds a manual sync option to the xero integration so you can choose to sync invoices only when you click the button.


vWork Android app

New

  •  Start on boot
        - The app will now start tracking and syncing just after the phone boots.
        - Users can disable this behaviour in settings.
        - This change requires a new permission, so this update will require manual approval.

  • Shift on/off
        - User should only be able to shift on/off if they have the right permission
        - User should be notified the first time they shift off
        - Tracking should be disabled when the user shifts off, and re-enabled when they shift on.
        - Users should not be able to complete or uncomplete steps while shifted off

Fixes/Updates

  • Can now search for pricebook items by barcode scan
    New jobs are received by downloading just that job, rather than the whole list. This behaviour is now the same as the iOS app.
  • To make this less annoying, notification sounds are capped at 1 per 5 seconds.
    Improved job change notifications
  • Users are prompted to enter a reason (min 5 characters) when sending a support email.
  • Recent activity is now based on push activity as well as sync actions. ("Received job x" instead of "synced with server")
  • New job notifications use the job's updated_at as their display time, to prevent the notification jumping around.
  • Theme rationalization: The app theme has been simplified and streamlined a bit to prepare for future changes. You'll notice subtle
    appearance changes, but nothing too major.

  • Fixes an issue where multiple photos may have caused the app to crash
  • Fixes an issue where a pricebook with some strange characters might not display on the phone.
  • Improved the replay tracking on iOS devices
