Do Phone Numbers need International Calling Codes?

It is possible to include cellular phone numbers when adding either customers or workers to your vWork account via the API.

In order for us to be able to send them TXT messages, we need to know which country code to use. You may use numbers, spaces and the plus sign.

Please do not use any other characters. Here are some examples for you:

New Zealand

  • 64271111111 (will work)
  • +64271111111 (will work)
  •  64 27 111 1111 (will work)
  • 0271111111 (won't work)
  • 64 (21) 111-1111 (won't work) 

United Kingdom

  • 447311111111 (will work)
  • +447311111111 (will work)
  •  44 7311 111 111 (will work)
  • 07311 111 111 (won't work)
  • 44 (7311) 111-111 (won't work)

United States

  • 12481111111 (will work)
  • +12481111111 (will work)
