Sometimes workers need to add additional items or edit items on an invoice. If permissions are enabled to allow this, mobile workers can add and edit items on their phones directly into a job through the Invoice tab.

Mobile user permissions
The ability to edit and add items to an invoice on a job is determined by two sorts of invoice permissions:
- the Mobile Worker Permissions set in the Finance settings, and
- the individual Mobile Permissions set in each user's User settings.

Android: add and edit invoice items
Open the Invoice tab for the job
Invoice details for a job are viewed and edited from the Invoice tab in the job.
To open the invoice tab:
- Tap on the job in the Jobs list to open the job details.
- Scroll along the menu bar to find the Invoice tab.
- Tap to open it.
Add or edit an invoice description
- Tap the pencil icon in the description field to open the description.
- Add a description or edit the description.
- Click OK.
Add a custom line item
- Tap
to open the source selection options.
- Tap Custom Item to open the Create line item screen.
- Add the line item details and click OK.
Add an item from a pricebook
- Tap
to open the source selection options.
- Tap Pricebook:xxxx to open the Select an item screen.
- Either search to select, or select an item directly, from the pricebook.
In this example, we have searched for a winter-grade oil from the pricebook using the letter W. - Click OK.
Edit an existing line item
- Tap the line item in the invoice tab to select and open the Edit line item screen.
- Edit the parts to the line item that you want to update. In this example, we are updating the actual quantity to add the quantity of oil used and its price to the invoice.
- Click OK.

Open the Invoice tab for the job
Invoice details for a job are viewed and edited from the Invoice tab in the job.
To open the invoice tab:
- Open the details of the job from the Jobs list.
- Select the Invoice button from the bottom of the screen.
Note: If you have lots of features enabled you may find the Invoice tab is selected from the options listed under the More button. - Tap to open it.
Add or edit an invoice description
- Tap the Description field to open it.
- Edit or add a description.
- Tap either the Invoice button (bottom of the screen) or the back button in the title bar to return to the Invoice tab.
Add a custom line item
- Tap the + icon in the red title bar to open the source options page.
- Tap Custom Item to open the Create Item screen.
- Add the line item details and tap either the Invoice button (bottom of the screen) or the back button in the title bar to return to the Invoice tab.
Note: You must edit at least two of the details (such as the Code and Description, or Description and Unit Price) for the back button to become visible.
Add an item from a pricebook
- Tap the + icon in the red title bar to open the source options page.
- Tap Pricebook:xxxx to open the Pricebook screen.
- Either search to select, or select an item directly, from the pricebook.
In this example, we have searched for the After hours callout fee from the pricebook. - Tap either the Invoice button (bottom of the screen) or the back button in the title bar to return to the Invoice tab.
