When you enable Mandatory Job Templates you make sure users with dispatcher permissions (but without the Admin permission enabled) only create jobs based on your pre-defined job templates, and can't change the custom fields for jobs that they create.
This setting is enabled in the vWork account settings by default.
We recommend you keep this setting enabled. If you choose to turn it off dispatchers can change the steps and custom fields in jobs created from your pre-defined templates, and create jobs without using a template.
Why should I enable the Mandatory Job Templates setting?
You enable the Mandatory Job Templates setting to ensure job quality and consistency - every job captures the same information and is performed the same way, using the same steps every time.
How do I enable Mandatory Job Templates?
You enable Mandatory Templates in your vWork Account settings.
- Go to Settings > General.
- Scroll down to Mandatory Job Templates.
- Check the Enabled? checkbox.
- Click Save at the bottom of the account settings page.
