You can log in to the iOS vWork mobile app using an email address and a password, or using a QR Code. Your dispatcher can also send you an SMS message with a link that automatically logs you in.
The article, iOS: Log in and out of the vWork iOS app, explains these different approaches.
App settings for vWork
The menu 'Settings' item in the 'Login' screen opens the Settings where you can customize how the vWork app works and how it works with your devices settings.
You can also access the settings from the 'Jobs' screen. Tap in the red banner to open the vWork menu, then select Settings.
💡 Tips:
- You should always look at vWork settings (such as location and camera) alongside your device's settings to make sure they work as you expect them to. You must enable permissions for these in both the device settings for the vWork app and in the vWork settings.
- Also, be aware that some settings use more battery than others - such as location tracking. You may wish to carry a portable power pack or have a charger in your vehicle to make sure your device doesn't run low on battery during the day.
You can learn all about the iOS settings in this section of our online help: iOS: vWork mobile app settings.

A job is made up of Steps. Each step is a task that must be completed in the order they are listed to complete a job. Once all steps are completed the job is completed.
After you have accepted a job you can view and complete jobs steps in the 'Steps' screen. Job steps are a sequential list of actions that must be taken to complete a job.

Completing and using job fields is explained in the article, iOS: complete job fields in the vWork mobile app.
Use the 'Job Map' and 'Map'
The vWork mobile app enables you to see your jobs on a map. There are two map views in the mobie app:
- Use the 'Jobs Map' to easily see where all your jobs are and what status they have: pending, assigned and started. You can open this from the vWork main menu.
- Use the 'Map' for a single job to show the locations of all the steps for that job and help you navigate to each step. You can open this when you are working on a specific job.
You can learn more about both map views in the articles:
- iOS: use the vWork mobile app map views to see jobs and job steps. This explains what you can see and do in each map view.

Create a job invoice
The Invoice screen is where you update the invoice details (if your organization uses this feature).
You can learn more about updating, downloading and emailing invoices in the article, iOS: create and send an Invoice or Status report.
Send an Invoice or job status report
You can download and send an Invoice or a job Status Report, from the Details screen. You can learn more about this in the article, iOS: create and send an Invoice or Status report.
Add a Customer signature and photo
-
For some jobs it is important to capture proof of delivery and proof of condition at a known point in time. In the vWork mobile app a captured customer's signature and a photo can be used as proof of delivery and proof of condition. You may also need to add a saved image or PDF file to a job. When captured these are saved with the job and can be used for reports and job audits.
There are two methods to capture customer signatures and photos in the vWork mobile app. They can be captured in job fields in the Fields screen, and they can be captured using the 'Sign + Photo' tool on the Details screen. The method that you use depends on the workflow used in your organization.
The article, iOS: add a customer signature and photo, image or PDF file to a job, explains how to capture customer signatures and photos using both of these methods.
Create a Job
If your administrator has enabled it you will be able to create new jobs from Android mobile app. This is explained fully in the article, iOS: create a job in the vWork mobile app.
