The ability to reschedule a job and change a job's duration on the vWork mobile app is a General setting in your vWork account. It can be enabled and disabled by your vWork Administrator.
When a job can't be completed as scheduled it is easy to reschedule the job from within the vWork mobile app if this setting has been enabled. You might want to reschedule a job because, for example, a customer needs to reschedule, a worker is ill, or a tool required to complete a job breaks down. When you reschedule a job you give it a new scheduled start date and time. You can also change the job duration but all other job details remain the same.

Jobs that can be rescheduled from the vWork mobile app
You can reschedule any job listed in your Jobs List on the Jobs screen, that you have accepted (if 'Accept and Decline jobs' is enabled) and you haven't yet started it, ie, completed one or more job steps.
In this example, we can reschedule the job for Ann Teak; but we can't reschedule the job for Ginger Ayle because we haven't accepted this job, or for Joy Hardie-Harr because we have already started this job.
Reschedule a job
Jobs can be rescheduled from the job's Details screen.
To reschedule a job from the Android vWork mobile app:
- In the Jobs screen, tap the job to open the job's 'Details' screen.
- Tap to open the job management options.
- Tap Reschedule to open the options to reschedule the job.
- The black bar shows the scheduled Date and Time tools are selected. You can see the Date and Time pickers lower down the screen. Tap each of these in turn to set a new scheduled start time.
- When you are done, tap in the red banner to return to the job's Details screen.
Change the planned job duration
The job duration sets how long the job is expected to take. If this is not accurate, and you now expect to complete the job much faster or slower than is planned, you can also update this in the same place you reschedule a job. Once updated this also udates the job duration seen by your dispatcher for ths job.
To update a job duration:
- Follow steps 1 to 3 above to open the screen where you can reschedule a job.
- Tap 'Duration' to select this and show the time selector tool.
- Scroll the time selector tool to select a new time.
- When you are done, tap in the red banner to return to the job's Details screen.
