Assets are an optional feature in vWork. The Hazards tool is part of vWork's Health & Safety feature - this is also an optional feature. These two features can be used together to save hazards against an Asset.
If you would like to find out more about Assets and Hazards or add either of these features to your account, please email support@vworkapp.com. One of our team will be in touch to talk with you about your requirements.

Why add Hazards to an Asset?
The advantage of saving hazards with an Asset is this ensures that every time the Asset is included in a job the hazards specific to that Asset are automatically included in the job too.
The most common situation where you might want hazards saved with an Asset is when the Asset is a location and there are hazards at that location that are always present. For example, one site out of many that you service for a customer has heavy machinery in operation that presents a hazard. You would save this as a hazard against an asset so every time you go to a job for this asset you automatically have heavy machinery added as a hazard to the job.
Note: Any job that the Asset is included in must be based on a job template that has Health & Safety enabled to include the hazard.
