However, sometimes you may wish to be notified as soon as it happens, this is where vWork alerts can come in handy. There is a full section in the knowledge base about how to setup quotes, but here are some specific examples that may come in handy when setting up your quotes.
You can send an alert when a quote has been completed, this can be used to tell a dispatcher or admin person that there is quote ready to be checked and emailed to a customer.
You can send an alert if a customer declines a quote, this can be used to go back and check the quote to ensure that everything was done to the customer's satisfaction.
You can send an alert if a customer approves a quote, this can be used to alert a dispatcher that a new job has been created that needs to be scheduled.
You can send an alert a few days before a quote is due to expire, this could be to an admin person to get them to follow up with the customer, or you can email the customer directly if you wish.
And finally, you can send an email if a quotes expires without any feedback from the customer at all.
