What is the Residual Risk Created alert?
The Residual Risk Created alert is a Health & Safety alert for use specifically with the Health & Safety Hazards tool. Its purpose is to notify selected parties when a hazard's residual risk is identified as meeting or exceeding a specified level after control measures are implemented to mitigate the risk.
You can find out more about Hazards in the article: Health & Safety: Hazards
What triggers the Residual Risk Created alert?
The Residual Risk Created alert is triggered when a residual risk level is entered in the Residual Risk field and this is the first time the level meets or exceeds the Residual Risk Created level set to trigger the alert. This can be when the Residual risk is added to a hazard through the web app or on the mobile app.
This means:
- The alert is triggered if the original residual risk level saved with the hazard is lower than the threshold but it is later changed to meet or exceed the threshold.
- The alert is triggered if the Residual Risk field is left blank when the job is created, but later the residual risk level is added and it meets or exceeds the threshold.
- Once the first alert is triggered no further alerts are triggered with changes to the residual risk level for the hazard.
There are three levels of residual risk that you can select from to trigger this alert:
- Moderate
- High
- Critical.
You can add the Residual Risk Created alert in Alerts > Setup.
Caution: For this alert to work you must retain the default settings in the Risk picklist found in the Health & Safety Settings.
